Skogheims Viljar x OH Sadie by MVF Erlend

OFI Siljar

Siljar is our magnificent white dun stallion, who Dan  bred and we kept for our program. He epitomizes the breed like no one else with his

When Siljar was born, you could see he was going to be something special. Dan found Siljar's sire, Skogheims Viljar, through pedigree research in the Norwegian database and imported him in 2010 has a yearling.

Viljar represents some of the best blood-lines and breeding in Norway and Siljar's dam, OH Sadie, represents some of the best in North America! She received an NFHR Evaluation score of 85.25 for conformation and movement, making her the fourth highest evaluated mare in the registry, and competed to 2nd level in dressage with trainer Anne Lewis.

Siljar combines the best out of both parents.  He is not just a handsome looking guy, he is an extremely sweet and caring stallion with a lovely, easy going temperament which he passes on to his foals. His breed character and conformation are exceptional. With his height of 14.2hh and his cannon bone measurement of 9.05", he offers excellent bone and muscle structure while still being leggy, uphill and compact.

We have been lucky to not just have Siljar as an individual at our farm, but to be raising two lovely daughters of his. Both are sweet as can be and are very people oriented.

In addition to the qualities that he passes on, as a white dun, Siljar has a 50% chance of throwing his cremello gene to every foal. On top of that, Siljar is grey recessive and has been very consistent in passing this gene to his foals with a percentage of 100% of his foals born at our farm being grey recessive.

Siljar has been leased to Dun In Farm in Capac, Michigan for 2019 and we are excited to see what he will produce with their mid-west ladies. We can't wait to have him back home for the 2020 breeding season.

Siljar's stud fee is $800 which includes a 50% non-refundable booking deposit. He is available via live cover and fresh-chilled shipped semen. Mare care is $8/night. Collection and shipping is $500.
