Tjasse - norse for a mythical giant - is already meeting up to his name. This huge colt is out of our favorite pairing between Faksi and Tsjalle and there are just so many things we love about this colt for example his:
The cross between our German import stallion Tsjalle and our grey dun mare LVG Faksi is one we are always anxiously awaiting. Even though we have now made this cross three times, each foal has exceeded our hopes and expectations in a different way. Faksi and Tsjalle, besides being both grey duns, are quite different from each other but also very complementary.
Faksi is sired by Prydarson, who is still the highest evaluated stallion in North America and unfortunately passed in late 2019. He received a blue ribbon with 87 points and scored particularly well in breed type, overall and his trot with 9+points.
Her dam,Skjenna Gard Fiorgyn, is known for producing high quality dressage horses like Corgi Hill Felles (4th level), Corgi Hill Flinka and Corgi Hill Filsan, who was exported to New Zealand. Her pedigree goes back to very influential import stallions in breeding and performance with Felix and Flotren.
Faksi is a mare with excellent type, nice neck and impressive knee action in her movement. She is a very fast learner, but is also "busy" and will entertain herself if not stimulated and challenged. Tsjalle loves to please and to show off what he knows. He is caring and very grounded in his temperament. We appreciate the correct and strong legs and solid, high quality feet he puts on his foals. Tsjalle is currently competing at 1st Level dressage and reached scores up to 70% at USDF recognized shows.
With every breeding we are hoping to get the best of both parents and with Tjasse we surely did again, just in a different package. We love his big hip and his well shaped long neck. He has a ton of presence and there is no doubt that he is stallion quality.
Besides being full grey due to both of his parents being grey dun Fjords, he received two copies of the red gene, one from each parent, making his phenotype a red dun. He is therefore aaee.
With so many high caliber ancestors, his movement and disposition, Tjasse is a very promising young colt that we are proud to co-own as part of our program and genetic "back up" for Tsjalle and Faksi.
