Born on May Day, Flora is named after the Roman goddess of flowers and spring. This leggy filly is by Thorsten (Torsetblakken x Thilde by Plutonikk) and out of LVG Faski (Prydarson x Skjenna Gard Fiorgyn by Felix).

Foals
Flora produced and exceptional colt with Tsjalle in April 2023. DD Ty has exceeded our expectations in regards to conformation and disposition. Even though we had planned to leave Flora open for 2024, we have been so pleased with this cross that we have decided to breed Flora back to Tsjalle. In April 2024 Flora foaled a drop dead gorgeous filly with DD Florentina, who will be remaining in our program.
Since it is our last chance to cross Flora with Siljar, we are planning on crossing her with him in 2024 for a 2025 foal. After that, Flora will take a longer break from the breeding band. Flora is confirmed in foal to Siljar for March 2025!
Her sire, Thorsten, is a colt that Dan bred in 2014 with frozen semen from the Norwegian stallion Torsetblakken and out of our lovely mare Thilde. At the time, Dan was not able to keep Thorsten and our sweet Thilde passed away in 2018 (10 months pregnant with a Siljar foal). We are very happy to now have something from Thilde back in the program.
Flora is an elegant and refined filly who turns everyone's heads everywhere she goes. Flora's dam is our "super mare" LVG Faksi, making her grandfather the stallion Prydarson, the highest evaluated stallion in the US.
Flora has proven herself as an excellent producer and established herself in our program with her sweet caring personality. She has a beautiful short and refined head
Flora is nicely sensitive and responsive to work with. We are very pleased with how she has matured both physically and mentally these past years. She has been ponied in the mountains and ridden on the beach with her foals by her side. She particularly loves to swim in the water.
Flora will be returning to further her training especially under rider once her 2025 foal is weaned.
