Tess is a beautiful white dun filly out of Tsjalle! Her mother is a half sister to our stallion Siljar. It's awesome to see the first cross between two of our stud lines. This girl definitely comes after her sire in disposition and build. Tess is going to become Dan's second "main mount" next to Megan!
Tess is the first foal combining the genetics from two of our stallions. Therefore, we are planning on crossing her with Gio in the future. They are not just very complementary in their conformation and disposition, but the movement could be spectacular with this cross!
Tess is confirmed in foal to Gio for March 2025!
We are excited to be having this lovely girl in our program! Dan imported her grandsire Skogheims Viljar from Norway and owned her granddam LHF Jasmine (not at the same time though), but has really liked the product out of this cross. Jasmine is a smaller longer mare with impressive movement, suppleness and breed character. Tess' dam Hosanna has already more bone and better feet than Jasmine and the cross with Tsjalle made it even more "horsey". Tsjalle added much needed size, improved the quality of feet and legs even more.
Besides the white color coming down from Viljar, Tess received both the red and grey gene as a recessive from Tsjalle.Tess is very square and correct in build after two generations of compact stallions with strong top lines.
Tess has a very personable disposition and loves her people. She is very easy to handle and uncomplicated in every way. No matter in which paddock she is, she comes running up as soon as she sees us. She is currently 14hh as a two year old and we are expecting her to mature between 14.1-14.2hh. We are intending for Tess to become Dan's second main riding horse next to Megan and alternate the two mares between riding and breeding use. Tess combines a lot of criterias on Dan's wish list including good sturdy feet (a attribute we are seeing in all Tsjalle foals), good size above 14.1hh when mature, a willing uncomplicated disposition and "can-do" attitude.
