Totilas, a name that comes with big shoes to fill and this colt is determent to do just that. He represents the best of both parents and already shows tremendous promise in his exceptional movement and pleasing disposition.
The cross between our German import stallion Tsjalle and our grey dun mare LVG Faksi was one we were anxiously awaiting. Even though they are both grey duns, Faksi and Tsjalle are quite different from each other but also very complementary.
Faksi is sired by Prydarson, who is still the highest evaluated stallion in North America and unfortunately passed in late 2019. Hereceived a blue ribbon with 87 point and scored particually well in breed type, overall and his trot with 9+points.
Her dam is Skjenna Gard Fiorgyn is known for producing high quality dressage horses like Corgi Hill Felles (4th level), Corgi Hill Flinka and Corgi Hill Filsan, who was exported to New Zealand. Her pedigree goes back to very influential import stallion in breeding and performance with Felix and Flotren.
Faksi is a mare with excellent type, nice neck and impressive knee action in her movement. She is a very fast learner, but is also "busy" and will entertain herself if not stimulated and challenged. Tsjalle loves to please and to show off what he knows. He is caring and very grounded in his temperament. He loves to stretch down and trot with a huge reach in his legs.
With every breeding we are hoping to get the best of both parents and with Totilas we surely did! He has both the knee action and the reach in his movement. He is sweet, confident without being pushy. Totilas already has a presence about him and loves people and is very open minded. So far he is the closes resemblance of Tsjalle that we have produced, even inheriting his wither stripes.
With so many high caliber ancestors, his movement and disposition, Totilas is a very promising young colt that we decided to keep him as a stud prospect and "genetic back up" for Tsjalle. Unless an amazing offer comes up, he will be developed as dressage stallion for our program.
